INTERIOR [styling & usability]
The interior of this 2002 Z71 Tahoe was the first area to "go under the knife." The truck was ordered with graphite interior with the intention of adding a carbon fiber styling througout. This dark interior was choosen to compliment the carbon fiber. The stock gauge cluster seemed to lack the flash that this truck would eventually personify, so it was replaced with a new Cadillac Escalade cluster. To keep the carpet as clean as the exterior of this truck, all the stock floor mats were replaced with Catchall floormats and a Husky liner in the rear. A couple precautionary modifications were made to keep driving as safe as possible. A set of Razo racing pedals were installed to keep this beast under control at all times.

The stock stereo system was next to go. All the componenets selected were choosen to be used daily, not on a show only vehicle, so interior space was a big consideration. For a little bass a JL Audio 10w3-D4 was installed in

place of the factory subwoofer in a custom carbon fiber sub-enclosure. The sub is powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 360.2. The mids/highs were all replaced by MB Quart, with 6.5" componenets in the front doors and coaxials in the rear doors. All the MB Quart speakers are powered by a huge Rockford Fosgate Punch 800.4. With the addition of these two amps pulling a good deal of power off the factory charging system, a 1 farad capacitor was necessary to keep the voltage drops and spikes in check.

The center piece of the system is the Pioneer AVX-P7300dvd and AVM-P8000r. This unit is a 7" motorized flip out display that can play and displya DVDs. A 12 disc changer was also installed and mounted in the glove box for easy access. The Headunit/Brain combo was choosen for it's expandability. It is very easy to connect headrest/flip down monitors, rear view cameras, video game consoles or anything else you can dream up!
